Bin Laden Turns the Tables

Bin Laden has successfully turned the tables in the Middle East.
Under Bush, the father, the Middle East was a place where the Defence industry could test their latest toys with virtually no risk to American lives or capital.

Under Bush, the son, that gruesome equation has shifted. Now, Iraq is a place where Bin Laden can experiment with the latest in terrorist tactics with a significant cost to America, both in lives and dollars.

How did we let Bin Laden flip the script? We forgot the lesson that we taught the world during the American Revolution, occupying armies just piss people off.

Bin Laden learned this lesson in Afganistan. With just a little help from the Americans, the Afganis helped us overthrow the Taliban. As soon as Bush, the son, moved the war to Iraq, Bin Laden saw his chance to make us the bad guys.
