Dean's Problem Was that he Led the Polls Too Soon"
Howard Dean has dropped out of the race leaving many wondering how he could rise so fast and fall so much faster? His own mistakes certainly played a role. The Democrats desire to win the presidency also played a role, but the media certainly deserves some of the blame.
I am not one to say the Media is inherently liberal or conservative. The Media is a cross between a business and a locker room. Some stories sell papers. Others are just fun to repeat. A few are both. "Cinderella" and "David and Goliath" are two such stories.
Everyone likes a Cinderella story. In the beginning, Dean was both Cinderella and David, taking on both Bush and the Democratic establishment. He was on the cover of Newsweek more than Bush for a full month. Then, he became Goliath. Tearing him down sold more papers than building him up could.
Now, that Kerry is on top, let's see how the treat him.
