Is pain good for the soul? It might be necessary.
Nearly every story in the Bible starts with a tragedy.
If comfort drives complacency and complacency retards the growth of the
soul, then I can understand how God would allow suffering. In fact,
I could understand why it might be His favorite tool. Pain is a great motivator.
