Now: Obama is ahead by more than 130 delegates. More than 160 if you don’t count super delegates.
The future, if you add the 45 delegate gain she may pick up in PA and the subsequent 20 point loss she’ll take after that, he wins by more than 100.
Best case: She beat Obama by 15% in FL. They had 201 delegates in 2004. She only earned 55% of the vote in MI running virtually unopposed. It had 155 delegates in 2004. If you honored both elections and seated all of their delegates (something even the Republicans refused to do), she would only net a 45 delegate gain. She still loses by more than 50.
Her only chance is to win PA, seat MI and FL without a revote, and convince all remaining superdelegates to overturn the popular and pledged delegate vote.
Howard Dean is a fool for letting this continue and for continuing to piss off Florida, the most important state in the nation come November.
We need to move from being mad at Hillary to being upset at Howard Dean’s incompetence. He needs to enforce a positive end to the campaign by convincing the remaining superdelegates to cast votes against whoever goes negative. He needs to concentrate our guns on McCain. He needs to do his job.
