We're All Great Americans

Mac may be on his way back. I have missed the McCain I respected in High School, but today, he was busy telling crowds that Obama was “a decent, family citizen that I happen to have disagreement with”.

I think we will see him return to the man we respect before this thing is over.

It’s a mistake to allow our passion for one candidate to drive us to demonize the other. They are all us.

Boz, I don't trust this man as far as I can throw him. I don't like him at all and I sincerely doubt that I will ever come to respect him (except as a true enemy of any american who is not filthy rich). I personally see him as the engineer and orchestrator for all the negative attacks against Obama. This "decent" statement he made is just more political posturing to help distance himself (a little) from the negativity, all the while allowing his hatchet girl Palin to keep turning up the heat through lies and hateful rhetoric. He should have come out publicly about this as soon as Palin had her Klan rally in Pennsylvania and admonished Palin on the way she acted. If he's really interested in making any points with me, he should hold a press conference (both him and his beauty queen hockey mom) and publicly apologize for the new low his negative campaigning has hit in his attempted character assassination of a distinguished U.S. senator based on lies and distorted truths. And then he should start doing what he should have been doing all along, and that's having a healthy non-negative campaign against Obama on the issues that matter.

I have been proven wrong by McCain's actions during his primary election.
