Obama has named Sotomayor, a very slightly left leaning centrist to the Supreme Court. This is another brilliant move. It is basically a Clarence Thomas move with less partisanship. It forces Republicans to choose between principals and the Latino vote in the same way Democrats faced a similar choice. Of course, the Democrats should have chosen principal in that situation but it took them too long to figure that out. Similarly, the Republicans, in the end, will have to stick to principal and live with losing more Hispanics. For their sake, I hope they can do so without making any racist or sexist comments.v>
