I am considering a 3rd option. I had an att tilt in my basement. I could get an "all you can eat" data plan from att for $35 per month. The browser is better than a blackberry but worse than both g and iphones.
There are a lot of apps for windows mobile but far fewer than for iphone. There may be more than the gphone. Integration for both g and I are better.
The keyboard is a major plus, but the big weakness on both windows mobile and google is the lack of content. I am not talking about music. Music is transferable on all platforms. Itunes offers easy access to movies and tv shows. Pandora is also a plus.
Iphone's camera is not 2MP. This is an irritation but not a show stopper. The lack of a camera on the touch defies explanation.
