This video is interesting demonstrates how consistently wrong the Republicans have been on health care and federal programs.
When will this country learn that Conservatives fight change. They are not a party of big ideas or even good ideas. They simply resist change.
Republicans were against social security in 1935, Medicare in 1965, and are against universal health care now. They argued that each program would lead to Socialism and job loss. Each time, they were wrong. Each time, they embraced the old Democratic program but preached that the new one would lead to doom. Try getting a Republican to admit they were wrong on either of these. Try getting them to give either of them back. They’d say, “Out of my cold dead hand.”
