This is what I was talking about a couple of years ago. Look at how the richest pull away from the growth of the median income. We get to a point where the interest of presidents, who are generally from the top few percent, is no longer aligned with the interest of the average american.
basically, this is the natural state of a less regulated captalist society. the natural reaction to this, by an informed, democratic electorate, is a rise in populist policies that redistribute wealth. There is no point in being upset or elated by it. The only thing that is surprising is that it has taken this long.
